Warp 9 Signs Two Year Contract Extension with Award Winning Magellans.Com Warp 9 providing expanded and upgraded e-commerce functionality for country's largest on-line travel store
December 5, 2005 - Santa Barbara, CA - Warp 9, Inc., the premier provider of highly customized and robust Internet commerce solutions for the catalog and retail industry, today announced that Magellans.com, the award winning international travel site and Warp 9 customer since 2001, has executed a two-year contract for the fully hosted and managed Warp 9 Internet Commerce System ("ICS").
With their on-line revenue channel rapidly growing, Magellan's International Travel Corporation not only renewed their contract with Warp 9 by extending their commitment, but also upgraded to Warp 9 ICS Enterprise. This means that the Magellans.com site is now supported by a fully load-balanced, fault-tolerant enterprise-grade architecture, resulting in faster page serving, greater scalability and availability. With a record number of shoppers expected to visit the site this holiday season, Magellan's can be assured that their customers will not experience any speed degradation or outages than can plague other, less robust sites.
